  1. In 2001  India Post  launched  customised  greeting  card package for  corporate  clients. The  initiative to allow corporate  branding in the Sovereign's stamp was described  as the world's first  by any postal department.
  2. Under the new initiative, India Post allows corporate clients to either choose from a plethora of designs or bring in their own designs, which are being incorporated on greeting card envelopes as a Sovereign stamp.
  3. Clients were allowed to put their logo or message on the card design that is being reproduced on the stamp area of the accompanying pre-stamped envelope.
  4. Like Customised  Post  envelopes,  logo  of  India  Post  is  printed  on  these  Greeting  Post  envelopes with fluorescent  ink .
  5. The envelopes are machine made and the flap bears circular design with a logo of India Post with words 'Greetings' in Hindi and English in gray blue colour with a holographic effect.
  6. The cards and envelopes are of two sizes. Smaller card measures 105x165 mms and imprinted stamp on envelopes measures 40x30 mms. Medium sized card measures 120x185 mms and imprinted stamp measures 50x40 mms.
  7. The denomination value has been imprinted on the stamp.
  8. Calcutta Security Printers, Kanpur and Madras Security Printers, Chennai have printed these cards and their initials CSP and MSP are written on the back of the cards .
  9. Logo of India Post is printed in red colour on lower left corner on backside of the card.
  10. The designer name, printer name and card number appear at the bottom line on backside of the card. Cards  printed at  Madras Security  Printers bears additional words  'Code  No.' before the  card number. The first four digits of the code number are the design code, the letter 'S' or 'M' denotes the size of the card (Small or Medium) and the last two digits are the last two digits of the year of issue.
  11. The text  message in the card is printed in blue colour.
