Lokmanya Tilak was a great Freedom Fighter. Indian Postal department issued a stamp on his birth centenary on 23 July, 1956. He was also conferred with the honorary title of "Lokmanya", which literally means "Accepted by the people (as their leader)". The philatelists of those days were highly creative and dedicated. They created some innovative philately items, pertaining to Lokmanya Tilak, which were collector's delight. Here some such items are presented.
