Look not at my vices, O'Lord: All are equal in Thy eyes, they say, Thou canst, only if Thou wilt, grant me salvation. A blind poet of the 15th-16th century. Like Tulsidas, he preached the gospel of universal love. The final aspect of love for Lord Krishna is the main theme of his poetry. The language used is 'Brajbhasha' noted for its simplicity and sweetness. 'Sursagar', a collection of his poems, is a masterpiece of literature in the national language.

The stamps mounted in this album are the first emissions printed by Photogravure in this country and thus an important landmark in the evolution of Indian stamps. The change over from the existing Offset and Letterpress process to the new method of printing will, however, be gradual. Biographical sketches portrayed on the stamps along with a couplet from each one of them are given in the succeeding pages. Vertical in design and measuring 1.6" X 0.95" the stamps are printed on all-over 5 pointed multiple star watermark paper- Perforation 14: Set 160.
