In commemoration of World Hindi Convention, held at Nagpur from 10th to 14th January, 1974, under the auspices of the Bharatiya Hindi Bhasha Prachar Samiti. The stamp depicts a 12th century sculpture of Saraswati, the presiding deity for language and learning. In the background are excerpts from Rigvedic hymns and poetical works of renowned Hindi poets.

Scholars in Telugu from India and abroad participated in the Conference. The stamp depicts a 12th century sculpture of Saraswati, the presiding deity for language and learning. In the background are excerpts from the works of renowned Telugu poets and scholars.
