Jadu Bhatta was the music teacher of Rabindranath Tagore. He received Ranganath title from Rajas of Pnachcot, and Tanraj from Maharaja of Tripura. In his early age he died. He was specially considered as a great Dhrupad artiste. All the early composition of Tagore was based on DHRUPAD and later he made his own style known as Rabindra Sangeet.
