On an incident of angry crowd of burning Police Station, disturbed Bapu after arrival at the scene had undertaken five-day fast to atone for the bloodshed. He took it as a personal defeat for his ahimsa strategy for Swaraj and decided to call off the non-cooperation movement. Hence ‘Chauri Chaura Express’ is a Tribute to that great Historic Event.
