The only Indian film Mahatma Gandhi saw... On June 2, 1944 at 9 p.m. Gandhi & others saw a few selected reels of 'Ram Rajya' for forty minutes. A special screening of 'Ram Rajya' (1943) was arranged at Juhu on June 2, 1944. This was the first Indian Talkie ever seen by the Mahatma.
