- In commemoration of World Hindi Convention, held at Nagpur from 10th to 14th January, 1974, under the auspices of the Bharatiya Hindi Bhasha Prachar Samiti. The stamp depicts a 12th century sculpture of Saraswati, the presiding deity for language and learning. In the background are excerpts from Rigvedic hymns and poetical works of renowned Hindi poets.
