Mirza Asadullah Khan Galib was a renowned Urdu poet of the 19th century, closely associated with the court of Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar. Also a Persian poet, he originated a new style of letter writing. His poems, mainly Gazals, range over the entire gamut of human emotions and reveal deep insight.
